I was admitted to the GRI for elective surgery. The first ward I went to was ward 49. I was welcomed and shown to my bed. The staff nurse and student nurse were so kind and discreet when asking personal questions. The anaesthetist was friendly and put my mind at ease. The surgeon was lovely and explained the entire procedure to me, answering any questions I had. After my operation I was taken to ward 47. The staff nurse and staff really looked after me, from my tea and toast to my dinner that night and allowing me to rest in-between. I cannot praise the staff in the Glasgow Royal enough for the amazing treatment I received.
