"Staff were very caring, empathetic and kind"

About: Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Plastic Surgery & Burns (wards 45, 47, 48 & 49)

(as the patient),

I had a basal cell carcinoma lesion on my scalp removed and a biopsy taken from my ear. Skin was removed from my thigh to put on my scalp. From arriving at the Plastic Surgery Admissions Unit to the theatre for my op the staff were very caring, empathetic and kind. I'd particularly like to thank Dr Carter who carried out the procedure and the lead nurse who sat beside me and kept me calm throughout. I really can't praise all of them enough for their care. It makes such a difference when you are apprehensive about a procedure to be met with such kindness.
