"Lack of guidance or support to new mums"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Maternity unit

(as the patient),

Several times I’ve had scares during my pregnancy and attempted to phone the triage line. I know it’s a busy service but if you’re bleeding, cramping, feeling no movement and can’t get through to someone for two to three hours it’s extremely uneasy and really not a reliable service.

My husband and I tried for hours and eventually got through and I was put on hold for half an hour for them to say everything was okay.

The full midwife service at forth valley seems to be really poor with no real guidance or support to new mums. It makes me very nervous about giving birth
