Through routine bowel screening programme, I was diagnosed with bowel cancer 3 years ago. Everything happened so quickly from first colonoscopy then surgery within next couple of weeks. Thanks to the fantastic Lucia, surgery went well. I received follow up for 3 years and today was my final colonoscopy.
I have never met a more fantastic team than Miss Chung and the absolutely amazing Endoscopy team and colorectal nurse specialists Lesley and Ashley. They made me feel in safe hands and supported me from start to finish. Special thanks also to Irene and her true professionalism who talked me through every step of the way.
Thanks also to H South, H North, HDU and physiotherapy staff for my excellent care pre and post op.
To anyone worrying about going through these procedures please don’t ! This team are truly lifesavers and I will forever be indebted to each and every one of them ❤️
