"Appointment for MRI"

I am disappointed that I did not receive our appointment letter for the appointment for our daughter. We went through orthopaedics for the referral and received all communication letters from orthopaedics.

It was only when I phoned in early November to check where we were on the waiting list was I informed that it was to be two days later.

The radiology explained that it was our old address on there from over 10 years ago. When we changed our address at the GP we were never informed that it doesn’t change in Radiology (not a department we need to use regularly thankfully).

The referral came from orthopaedics with the correct address, this was not noticed in Radiology. We were never told by anyone to check the address. This is a very strange system and thankfully we didn’t miss our appointment, nor thankfully is my daughter’s condition life threatening, although having a huge impact on our active daughter's life. 

The member of staff I spoke to was very apologetic. But it makes me consider if this is why wait lists are so long with people missing appointments.
