"I was looked after royally"

I had a colonoscopy at NDDH in May 2024, this was not the first time I had experienced this procedure but it was the first time I was fully awake. I was not looking forward to it when I heard I was going to be awake but I need not have worried. I was looked after royally by the team led by I think Mr. Pearl.

I had discomfort from my back which I had damaged slightly prior to going to NDDH but I was given time to move when asked and the actual procedure  was painless and I was kept informed of all that was happening during my time in the Theatre.

The care I received both in and out of the Theatre was not unexpected as I have experienced this every time I have visited NDDH but it was still very much appreciated, you Guys are so under rated working on a Sunday on a Bank Holiday weekend.

Thank you all so much and you deserve so much more than the public standing outside clapping you (but I did) I think you are the ones who should be rewarded both monetary wise as accolade wise.

You will excuse me if I say thank you and I hope I never meet you again in those circumstances.
