I was referred to Urgent Care in Daisy Hill Hospital, Newry by my local GP. I was seen by a doctor who arranged blood tests. These tests resulted in me having to a scan which was arranged by the doctor for the next morning. I attended and had a scan and was then to Ambulatory Department the same day. I was greeted by the nursing staff who carried out all their observations and was then seen by Dr Trueman, Consultant Physician. I was prescribed medication which I received from the hospital pharmacy. A checkup appointment was arranged for 3 weeks after my initial attendance at Daisy Hill which I attended. I was seen by a doctor, whose name I cannot recall. She was pleased with my progress and arranged a further 3 week appointment for a checkup. My GP, the doctors and nurses in urgent care and the ambulatory department, together with the staff in X-ray and pharmacy all dealt with me in a very professional, reassuring and caring manner, giving a clear explanation of my condition and the medication issued.
"Hospital referral and very good care"
