"My son told me he trusts her so much"

About: Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Outpatient Department

(as a parent/guardian),

I had my son in for a blood test.

This never goes well for him after having bad situations in the past.

However, the nurse Harley who took his bloods was so lovely and smiley she made him feel very comfortable and spent a lot of time making him laugh and explaining everything without rushing us. This meant a lot to us

My son told me he trusts her so much because he felt no pain like he did in the past.

We thank the nurses for all that they do this was a really great experience

Hello scoreboardsk98

As the Senior Charge Nurse of the Outpatients Department, I would like to sincerely thank you so much for sharing such wonderful feedback. I’m truly delighted to hear that your son’s experience was so positive, especially after the difficult situations you’ve faced in the past. It means a great deal to us that Harley was able to make such a difference.

Harley’s warm, smiley approach and the time she took to explain everything and make your son laugh really reflect the care and compassion we strive for in Outpatients. Hearing that your son now feels comfortable and trusts her, and that he experienced no pain. is absolutely fantastic. I will make sure Harley knows just how much her efforts meant to you and your family; she will be thrilled to hear this.

Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience. Feedback like yours reminds us why we do what we do and helps us keep delivering the best care possible.

Kind regards,

Mhairi Stirrat
