"They were so professional and kind"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Accident & Emergency

(as the patient),

I had an operation on my knee at a different hospital. That same evening when I was at home my wound started to bleed quite severely and I was advised to attend the accident and emergency department by the 999 call handler. The A&E department was under extreme pressure and there was a lot of patients waiting to be seen. I was triaged very quickly and efficiently by Staff Nurse Nicole and alongside her the Charge Nurse Susan. They were so professional and kind. They attended to my wound and I was patched up and ready to go after an hour of being there. The effectiveness of the work that they performed was confirmed when my wound was next checked the following day.  I can not thank them enough for their professionalism, kindness and help. Amazing team of professionals.

Dear RodHE,

Thank you so much for submitting a care opinion about your recent visit to our department.
I am so delighted that Nicole and Susan provided such professional and compassionate care during what must have been a stressful time for you. Your feedback means a great deal to us, especially when the department is under significant pressure.

We are incredibly proud of our emergency team and their commitment to delivering safe, efficient, and person-centred care. I'll make sure your kind words are passed on to Nicole and Susan—they will be thrilled to know their efforts were recognised and made such a difference.

Wishing you a smooth and speedy recovery, and thank you again for taking the time to provide such lovely feedback.

with kind regards,

Karen
