I had previously tried psychological therapy but needed more support. I attended a group session as well a one to one counselling. I was initially very sceptical of attending a group session but found it really beneficial. I think through sharing your struggles and hearing how others had struggled or overcome their own challenges helped me feel less alone. I don’t think I had realised how isolated I had felt with my mental health struggles until I attended the group. I have made connections within the group that I hope continue after the course has ended.
