"Excellent care"

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

I was referred by my GP for an outpatient procedure and received an appointment for the Gynaecology Unit at Queen Margaret Hospital.

The information sent in advance was (typically with NHS letters) not very informative and I didn't know what to expect from the appointment.

However as soon as I was inside the unit I received excellent care. The unit has been planned around improving patient experience and it shows: there is clear signage from the stairs and lifts, the waiting spaces and treatment rooms are pleasant, the staff are all very committed and expert in what they do, and the whole process was seamless. I was given clear information about next steps and after care, and left feeling very well cared for.
