"Let down by care"

About: Victoria Hospital / Medicine of the Elderly

(as the patient),

I got tablets to help with sickness. But tablets that don't work. Got told I was allowed a bath but 10 minutes later I got told the bathroom was for infection control. Even though a patient had just come out the bath and gave me some deep heat to use. Now I'm getting told that it's being used as a storage room, this is Victoria hospital ward 32.

The nurses are great but as you have read there is obviously some real concerns. I thought I'd be coming to the hospital to get better, they have only made me worse. It seems like they would rather talk about how their weekends were than answer people's buzzers who need assistance. I would only suggest coming here if you are going to die.

Hi Marspf56,

I am sorry to read that your personal care needs are not being met in Ward 32. I would be keen to have the opportunity to discuss these in person and resolve any of the matters raised. There is an Senior Charge Nurse on the ward at present. Her name is Katie Toole she would be happy to listen to any feedback you have.

I am also contactable via Ext: 29960 if you would like to discuss this further.

Kind regards,

Harly Mclennan

Clinical Nurse Manager
