"Feel so hopeless"

About: Arran Resource Centre General practices in Greater Glasgow & Clyde

(as a service user),

Have been struggling with anxiety disorder since as long as I can remember. Been medicated for it since my early 20s over 10 years ago. Recently it has been out of control. GP is doing what they can with medication and trying to work it out but I needed some further assistance. Due to dealing the severe anxiety symptoms for so long, my mood just crashed through the floor leaving me with that lovely depression and anxiety combo.

I was referred to the Arran resource centre by my GP for emergency referral. Had an appointment with the Arran centre made shortly after. Had an appointment and I made it clear about how bad a place I was in. Due to my workplace providing some counselling (which I've already told Arran centre and my GP it isn't working) they have told me there is nothing else they can do for me. Provided me with suicide prevention hotlines and just left to struggle.

I couldn't have been clearer about how bad I was feeling. I don't know what you need to do to be taken seriously. Another great experience with the NHS.
