"Myself in complete meltdown"

About: Community Services (AMH) / Home Treatment

(as the patient),

I was anxious and suffering from ptsd and mental heath issues im still not fixed yet, i'm agoraphobic and not wanting to leave my home, the point of contact was not too easy to navigate the online system kept telling me i wasn't a real person and was a spam bot, however i manged to call and talk to a real person which in itself was difficult, they took my details and got me registered quite easily and calmly reassuring me.

I was told that once they had discussed things with the crisis team i would be contacted, less than an hour later an appointment was arranged and a crisis team arrived, i couldn't believe how quick they were and they continued to diagnose and help set up treatment for my conditions, each step was explained with care and compassion, and i was told the home therapy team would be in touch.

I was contacted by phone and more appointments made, the level of support was amazing and i was certainly not alone, after more visits and support i was handed over to the op courage team, Estelle was far far above and beyond professional and was so easy to talk to, so much so i've requested she takes over as my main point of contact and support, the whole team have been outstanding but Estelle was by far the best, i've built up a strong level of trust with her and feel she actually gets where i am, she was certainly made for this role and is an absolute credit to the mental health organisation.

My path on this journey is not clear and i know i have a long way to go, but with her ongoing help, calmness, dedication and support i will get there eventually. Thank you is nowhere near enough for the level and multitude of the support i have had so far and am reassured that there are many outstanding professionals out there to help.

I think your service needs praising at the highest levels and advertising on how superb you all really are. Thank you all so very much. For anyone out there who feels alone and trapped no matter how low you are how desperate you fell please call the number, it's life changing.

In a world where everything seems to be going wrong this service is beyond exceptional, please use it if you need to, you  are never alone.
