About: General practices in Greater Glasgow & Clyde

(as the patient),

I wanted to bring to your attention the exceptional secondary health care I and my family have received from Dr Connaughton at Bridgeton Health Centre for approaching 40 years.

The health service, professionalism and effective care over this period of time for me, my daughters and more recently my 4 grandchildren has been nothing short of outstanding.

The quality of this care is not only from Dr Connaughton himself but also the nursing and reception staff who all have the same level of professionalism and care.

As well as bringing this to your attention to compliment this GP practice for approaching and delivering health care to this exceptional standard, I also wondered if there was an option to use this as a learning opportunity for other secondary care practices in GG&CNHS.

I am absolutely convinced that the standard of care and the service provided will also have helped reduce the number of patients having to attend emergency care services.

Providing safe, compassionate and person-centred care is at the heart of what we strive to achieve, and it is wonderful to know that the consistency, professionalism and dedication shown by the practice have made such a positive difference across several generations of your family.

Your comments about the wider impact of high-quality primary care—particularly in helping to reduce the need for emergency services—are also very much appreciated. Feedback like yours helps highlight the importance of continuity, communication and trust in achieving the best outcomes for patients.
