"Brilliant care"

About: Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) / Accident and emergency South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as a relative),

My partner and I were on holiday when my partner had severe crushing chest pain lasting around 5-6 minutes.

I called 111 who immediately called an ambulance. The ambulance crew were superb, Abbie and Jeanie.

They transferred my partner to the A&E at the Royal Devon and Exeter.

I have to say we are both nurses and the care received that night was exemplary.

The nursing staff and medical team were fantastic.

Thankfully after a few hours my partner was discharged.

Thank you for all you did, it was brilliant.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience following your partner’s recent visit to our A&E department. We’re so pleased to hear that your partner received prompt and exemplary care from both the ambulance crew and our hospital team, and that they were able to return safely home the same night.

We wish your partner continued good health and hope you were able to enjoy the rest of your holiday.

With best wishes,

Good morning,

Thank you so much for providing us with feedback on the service you received, it is much appreciated! We hope that your partner is on the mend, and are sorry that they had to use our services in the first place!

For confidentiality, patient information is redacted on this platform and so we cannot find the details of the incident, we would love to pass your message onto the Ambulance crew who attended your partner and so, if you would be willing to share some additional information, please could you email compliments@swast.nhs.uk with your partners name, date the ambulance arrived, address and thank you message and we will ensure this is passed onto to the relevant crew.

Thank you again for taking the time to feedback, I hope your partner is recovering well!

Kindest regards,

The Patient Engagement Team
