"My son coming for day surgery"

About: Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Day surgery Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Pre Operative Assessment

(as a parent/guardian),

Clear instructions at the pre op assessment for the day of surgery. There was no surprises for my son on the day. Thankfully not long waiting times either. Not much to do but my son had his tablet so was occupied.

Staff were lovely, kept updated.

The only issue was the bed was full of crumbs when we went round first thing in the morning.

Hi L-jago

Thank you for leaving feedback regarding your sons recent admission.

Firstly I would like to apologise for the bed space not being cleaned when you were initially shown to it. This is definitely not the standard that we strive for and it will be something that I will investigate and aim for this not to reoccur.

I'm happy that the staff were all lovely and you felt that waiting times were not too bad. We are looking at improving the toys/crafts and computers for the waiting area so that all ages are catered for and hopefully this will be resolved in the near future.

I do hope your sons recovering well at home and again thank you for your feedback.

Kind regards

Suzanne Pearson
