About: The Ulster Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter and I arrived at ED very anxious about what was happening to her. She had taken a reaction to something and it was worse than any other.  The staff from the reception to nurses, doctors and domestics were so helpful, polite and professional.  I could not have asked for a better experience. We felt safe at all times, and well cared for.  It was obvious that the staff were good at their jobs despite being busy and constantly in demand.  I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who helped my daughter, you are all amazing.

Thank you for telling us of your experience when you attended ED with your daughter. It is good that both of you felt safe throughout your time and staff were attentive despite the ongoing demands. Coming to ED is often a worrying time for patients and families especially if they are acutely unwell, it is good that your experience was very positive and hopefully your daughter was reassured by this experience. I will share your comments with the staff who will appreciate them very much.
