"Journey through A&E"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

I came into A&E today with a minor injury, I was pleasantly surprised when i was triaged quickly but they took the time to understand what had happened. After a short wait I was round to minors, where everything being done was patiently explained and why. I felt that every precaution was used, whether it was an X-ray to discount extra damage or bloods taken and  further cleaning of the wound. The team couldn’t have done enough to make me feel at ease. Nothing felt that it was an inconvenience. So thank you to the amazing team Julie, Jen, Carol Ann, Paul and Jillian that helped me out.

Dear Sinkalot

Thank you for sharing your experience at the Minors Unit at University Hospital Hairmyres.

I'm sorry to hear that you injured yourself and had to attend.

It’s lovely to hear that the team made you feel at ease, took the time to understand your situation, and explained everything clearly. Your kind words mean a lot and I’ll be sure to pass them on to Julie, Jen, Carol-Anne, Paul, and Jillian.

Thank you again for taking the time to share your feedback—it really helps us continue to provide compassionate and effective care.

Kind Regards

Shirley-anne
