"A brilliant service in a little known specialist area"

About: Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Orthoptics

(as a service user),

I was referred to the orthoptist department by my optician because I was seeing double.

Over a couple of years I was seen by three different members of staff, all young women, who took such trouble to identify the areas of difficulty and change over time. The tests involve precision work and patience.

All three were so lovely – smiley, couteous, unhurried, caring and professional. They went out of their way to ensure I was as comfortable as I could be and were so reassuring and encouraging.

A* to them all. And huge thanks.
