I had a sore spot on my head that would not respond to medicated shampoos or to an ointment the nurse prescribed, so I was getting a bit paranoid, especially after using online searches and getting alarmed by the pictures and possible diagnoses. On requesting an in-person appointment at Patford House surgery, I was seen the next day by a very sympathetic Dr Shelbourn, who reassured me it was nothing dangerous, and prescribed a different cream. I was so relieved and have to confess I ate a massive bar of chocolate and a a couple of pints to celebrate!
