"Thankful to all who treated me"

About: Borders General Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as the patient),

I fell on the way walking for a bus for my shift at borders general, I presented myself at ED as I knew something wasn’t right with my ankle. I was greeted by a very friendly receptionist before I was taken to triage by a nurse followed by taken through to x-ray by Kieran the porter whom was very friendly after my x-ray.

I was seen by the ED doctor on duty whom wasn’t an orthopaedic Dr but his bedside manner was very assuring, did his best to treat me as much as possible them sent me home with a moonboot after diagnosing me with a chipped bone to my ankle.

Two days later I had to return minor injuries unit where I was greeted With an ANP, can’t remember her name, but she fitted me with the appropriate size of moon boot, sent me home with crutches and pain relief as well as discharge leaflet for my injury but I want to thank her for her care and attention.

Being on the other side as a patient I am so grateful for the care provided and thankful to all whom treated me.
