"I was hugely impressed by the service I received"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Accident & emergency Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Orthopaedic Ward B23 Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Xrays & Scans

(as the patient),

While on holiday I slipped on a hillside and had to call Tayside Mountain Rescue Team. They took me to Forth Valley Hospital.

Within an hour I had had an Xray. Within another hour a doctor had clearly and carefully explained my injuries and treatment plan. He reset my broken ankle on the spot and told me he would operate on it the following day.

The next day I was taken to theatre and my ankle repaired with pins and a plate. I was discharged the following lunchtime.

I feel so privileged to  have had such excellent care. All the staff from receptionists to doctors were polite, helpful, respectful, and caring. At a time when there is a lot of criticism of health services I was hugely impressed by the service I received. Please pass my thanks to all involved.

It’s great to know that the staff, from reception to clinical teams, made a positive impression during what must have been a difficult time.

I’ll make sure your thanks are passed on to those involved in your care. Wishing you all the best with your recovery.
