"My husband's treatment"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Infectious Diseases Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Neurology (Brain, Spinal and Nerves) Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Ophthalmology (Eye Problems) Dr Gray's Hospital / Out Patients Department Outpatients / OPAT (Outpatient Antibiotic Therapy)

(as a relative),

My husband was admitted to Ward 111 in ARI for assessment by the neurology & ophthalmology teams. The care from the nursing and medical teams was excellent with very prompt admission, investigations and treatment.

Only issue was the number of times he had to repeat his clinical history to various doctors as the continuity of handover was lacking.

He was discharged for Outpatient Antibiotic Therapy via the team at DGH. Emma was incredibly supportive. This is a really fantastic service that avoided a 3 week hospital admission far from home.

Thank you for your kindness and care throughout.
