"I felt completely safe in their care"

About: Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Lothian Birth Centre

(as a service user),

I had my second child at the birth centre in the Simpson's maternity unit at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary and I want to say it was absolutely wonderful.

I had two midwives, Leona and student Alicia and they were both so kind, empathetic, calm and knowledgeable, i felt completely safe in their care. They always made sure to explain everything to me and ask for consent before doing anything.

Afterwards in the ward that night, everyone else who came to check in on us was also absolutely lovely and took time to try and help me with breastfeeding.

A very positive experience. Thank you.
