(as the patient),

I just want to say a massive thank you to all of the midwives in Antrim Area Hospital. 

My experience started off with the girls in the induction bay who were amazing, I had Rebecca who was fantastic! 

I was then moved to the delivery suite, where I was so lucky to have Michaela the whole night, who made my experience so lovely! Constantly reassuring me, keeping me and my partner calm, sharing her own experiences, breathing with me and helping me get through it all. She really is amazing and has so much patience. So amazing at her job and honestly a real life angel! I had Leona after my birth for a short time who was equally amazing! Both girls really tried their best to keep me calm in such a scary situation!

After an emergency c section, I was moved to ward C2 where all of the midwives were amazing - with a special mention to Louise and Shannon! I honestly couldn’t have gotten through my experience without them! Nothing was ever too much, constantly reassuring me and making an overwhelming experience much more enjoyable! I am in awe of all of the midwives, and staff real life angels!

Firstly, huge congratulations on the birth of your little one.

Thankyou so much for taking the time out of your busy day to complete this response about your experience in Antrim maternity. I am delighted to read that you felt so well cared for in all areas; EOU, induction bay, birthing suite and C2 after having your baby.

The staff will be very pleased to read this. I will ensure that your feedback is shared with all the teams and especially the midwives that you have specifically mentioned.
