"Their kindness will always be remembered"

About: Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) / Maternity

(as a service user),

Our midwife during pregnancy was Lee. She was friendly, knowledgeable and always happy to answer our many questions. Student midwife Ellie supported regularly. She was also incredibly kind and went out of her way to check in with us during our hospital stay.

We feel honoured that our baby was delivered by Caroline. She was with us for her entire shift and remained calm, kind, reassuring and considerate throughout.

There are many more staff that supported and cared for mother and baby. The midwives, student midwives, anaesthetists and surgeons treated us with great care, respect and sensitivity. Their kindness will always be remembered.

Dear Firsttimemama, I am so very happy to hear your feedback. We know it makes such a difference to have really good quality antenatal care (and despite staffing troubles at times we always endeavour to provide this), and to hear that we have achieved that is so rewarding for us. I am very pleased to hear that this care and attention followed you into your hospital experience also. Thank you for taking the time to contact us.
