"Fantastic experience at IRH Dermatology Department"

I visited the IRH Dermatology Department at G Centre after being referred to them for a suspicious mole. The reception team who checked me in were helpful and polite. I saw Dr Stewart, who was very friendly, reassuring and helpful. He explained everything to me clearly and thoroughly explained the reasoning for, and risks associated with, the proposed procedure.

I then saw Linda and Stephanie to excise the mole. They were both notably kind and thoughtful, and explained everything to me clearly and spoke to me throughout the procedure. They checked throughout that I wasn't experiencing any pain, which I appreciated. I was very pleased with the overall experience today at the IRH and wanted to say thank you to these three excellent members of staff who put me at ease and made what could have been quite daunting an easy experience! The aftercare instructions were also clear and helpful.

All in all, I only spent an hour in the department - the process was efficient and everything clearly explained.

My one piece of constructive feedback is that the signage to 'G centre' could be a bit better when coming out of the lift. It might be helpful to put more detailed instructions on letters (I hadn't been to the IRH before and initially didn't realise G was a floor!)

Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback on your Dermatology visit at Inverclyde Royal hospital.

I was delighted that you found the process efficient and that everything was explained thoroughly to you. I was also pleased to hear that Dr Stewart took time and explained the reason for the procedure and what to expect. I was also pleased that you found that Linda and Stephanie took good care of you making sure that you were not experiencing and discomfort through out the procedure
