My first connection with Inclusion IoW was when it was IDAS, about 2008. They enabled rehab for 6 months, which was brilliant - out in the wild with animals - perfectly suited to my personality. When I returned there didn't seem to be any follow up treatment provided, so although I stayed sober for a further 18m, I eventually relapsed (for a period of 14 years).
In April 2024 I self referred to the now known Inclusion. I was given a key worker (Dave, who is brilliant) and started to attend the groups. My first group was RITS and through the peers I met I was encouraged to attend other groups that were run. This has enabled me to start my recovery and subsequently became very involved with Inclusion, including their LER roles. From this I have then splintered off to be involved with the community group (connections).
