"Waiting for Surgery referral"

About: Gartnavel General Hospital / General Surgery (ward 4a)

(as the patient),

I saw a member of staff in April this year for ongoing treatment for bleeding piles, they told me that they were now referring me to surgery.

I haven’t heard anything from the hospital or appear on any waiting list to my knowledge.  I haven’t heard anything, tried for weeks now to contact this member of staff without success. The receptionist in the clinic is unable to help me and the telephone for the secretary tells me that the mailbox is full.

I feel very frustrated with the lack of communication and the long wait. I know we’re in difficult times but I would at least expect someone to answer my questions

Der braceee75,

I am sorry to hear you are having difficulty accessing the person you need to remedy your issue.

Please email our generic inbox @ggc.southsurgery@nhs.scot with your details so that one of the team can help you with this.

If you could incorporate your care opinion name to allow me to understand that we have managed to sort this out for you.

Kind regards,

Debbie Macintyre
