(as the patient),

At the start of October, I suffered a torn ACL which requires surgical repair. Unfortunately, I have an existing heart condition that must be treated before I can safely undergo the knee surgery. Despite being referred for the necessary heart operation months ago, the procedure has now been delayed by the NHS until March.

This delay has created a chain reaction: without the heart operation, my ACL surgery cannot proceed, leaving me in ongoing pain and severely limiting my mobility. The prolonged waiting times have not only affected my physical recovery but have also taken a significant toll on my mental health. The uncertainty and inability to return to normal activities have been incredibly frustrating and demoralising.

These setbacks have impacted my quality of life, my ability to return to work, and my participation in sports. While I understand the immense pressures on the NHS, the ongoing delays have made an already difficult situation even more challenging.
