"Birth story"

About: Victoria Hospital / Early Pregnancy Assessment Service

(as the patient),

I am 21 years old and was 38+2 days pregnant and went into Kirkcaldy hospital for reduced movements and contractions being 6 mins apart.

After getting to hospital my contractions stopped but had high blood pressure and was moved to the CLU and got my water broke and then gave birth 43 mins later the midwifes were the most supportive and nice people I have ever met and were very helpful and uplifting during my labor they fully supported me and my wishes and gave lost of words of encouragement and made me feel very safe they were the nicest women I have ever met and genuinely made my experience the best ever! I am so thankful for the support they gave me and how wonderful they were they never questioned anything and fully let me do my own thing I would 1000% get my water broke again and have no fear over giving birth again ether!

All throughout pregnancy people talk about bad birth experience which I know does happen but I had the best birth I could ever have imagined and very fast I genuinely couldn’t have done it without the women and the support they gave me. I lost almost a litre of blood and they didn’t make me panic at all they were all very comforting to me, and telling how wonderful I did and how amazing I was and how proud I should be of myself and how beautiful my little baby boy was.

They really did just make me feel so amazing it was so wonderful I never panicked once they were very clear and calm doing everything to help me, and were overall the best women ever!
