About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / GP Out of Hours General practices in Forth Valley

(as a parent/guardian),

On behalf of my son, he visited this Forth Valley A & E (out of hours) on a Sunday late October after phoning 111. My son has had severe diarrhoea for over 2 weeks, frequent and severe, with blood in it, severe stomach ache and swollen tummy, has passed a large amount of very watery diarrhoea. I was concerned about him as he has nothing in his stomach and losing weight rapidly.

After him waiting in agony for nearly 8 hours the doctor told him they couldn't do anything as his own doctor should of seen him. They said they would put in a report to the doctor that he should of been seen by his GP.

After pleading with his doctor's surgery all week, the week before from Mon-Fri, they would only let him speak to a triage nurse who did nothing for him. I phoned them and asked to get a doctor to speak to him but was told no if the triage nurse felt they couldn't solve the situation then they would pass on to the doctor, which they didn't. I asked to speak to the practice manager and was told they weren't in.

I pleaded with them to get a doctor to call him. It has been a couple days and still no phone call. My son is so weak he can hardly stand. Can someone please let him see a doctor who can help him asap
