"I always feel supported and safe at the hub"

About: The Ulster Hospital / Respiratory Hub

(as a service user),

I was sent to A+E, twice in a week with a severe chest infection + had tried different antibiotics with no improvement. The gastro team referred me to the respiratory hub, and from my first visit, I felt truly cared for. The Nurse taking my bloods has always been so kind, gentle and reassuring, which meant a lot as I am pregnant and anxious about everything going on.

Dr Sarah was fantastic. She discovered that my breathlessness was a result of untreated asthma that had worsened in pregnancy. Along with a specialist nurse, they provided an inhaler that has made an incredible difference.

I always feel supported and safe at the hub. The staff are professional, compassionate and attentive to patients. It is an excellent service and a real asset to the hospital.

Thank you for everything

Thank you so much for sending in this care opinion and letting us know of your positive experience in the respiratory hub. Its great to hear that you felt supported and the staff showed you compassion. I shall pass this onto Dr Sarah, Kevin, Cherrie and the respiratory team in the hub who will be extremely grateful to hear such positive comments.

I hope you are keeping better and wish you the best with your pregnancy

Thank you

Amanda
