Today I took an elderly person to the ENT at Victoria Hospital Kirkcaldy. As we were entering, a man came right at us on a cycle bike with a cap and headphones on. I approached him and asked him to watch where he was going, but what he said astounded me. He said he worked there. I thought, okay.
On eventually getting inside the hospital about 30 minutes later I came across him again. We were going out the other entrance and he said something to me and I turned around and said, can I help you? He was very rude to me. I have no idea who he is apart from the fact he claims to be working in the area of domestics and he was working within an area of the ENT department.
I attempted to report the incident but I could not get through on the phone and nobody seemed that bothered about him. My elderly neighbour was extremely upset and frightened. She is in her 90s. I am totally disgusted that nobody is taking this seriously at all and feel the staff domestics should not be allowed to be behaving in the manner that this man did. In the car park, I was approached by a woman who said she knows the man’s name, which I would be happy to share with staff.
