"Waiting on telephone line"

About: Toddington Medical Centre

(as the patient),

I was on my way to my surgery when I encountered an unexpected road closure. The alternate route was also closed.

I pulled over to phone the surgery, which would have been in time to cancel my appointment. However, I was waiting in the queue for 25 minutes on the phone, being number one in the queue.

When I eventually got an answer, I was told that my appointment will be recorded as a 'no show'. I felt deflated.
