"My daughter was hospitalized with pneumonia"

About: Royal Hospital for Children and Young People (Edinburgh) / Play Services Royal Hospital for Children and Young People (Edinburgh) / Respiratory Medicine

(as a parent/guardian),

Even though she was sick, her days in the hospital were, as she described, very fun!

All the wonderful care she received from the doctors, nurses and especially the Castle Mey play team (a big thank you to Katie and Rachel; they were incredibly supportive in keeping our daughter entertained and happy)

All the activities, storytelling and crafts she did in the play room, the visits from Radio Lollipop, The Therapet and the Heart & Minds clowns will be remembered as a wonderful experiences for my daughter.

Thank you for putting a smile on our faces during those difficult and worrying days.

Dear Lean77,

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback about your daughter's recent stay in Castle Mey and I am sorry that she has been ill and hope she is making a full recovery.

I manage the play team in the hospital, of which Katie and Rachel are part and I will make sure they see these lovely comments and I sure that they too will appreciate you taking the time out of your busy day to send this feedback.

I am glad that they, and all the other staff, were able to make your daughters stay in hospital a fun experience.

Best wishes

Margaret McEwan

Play Services Co-Ordinator
