recently had hand surgery in Harrogate but ran out of dressings .Because i live in ripon i called at Ripons outpatients to ask for a couple of dressings to tide me over a couple of days till return to clinic at Harrogate > I was rudely told by young receptionist that it was not a charity.she then went on to say i had to make an appointment to see my doctor who would then get a nurse to put a dressing on and giive me a prescription to get some dressings . I asked if there was anywhere in ripon i could purchase the dressings the reply was a flat no. Off chance called at spa pharmacy chemist they gave me some dressings indentical to the ones i were using they were a whopping 18p. What a disgrace Ripon hospital think you need to have a word with yourselves as Ripon comes under Harrogate NHS.
