"Increased heart rate"

About: Chorley & South Ribble Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

I was advised to goto Chorley Emergency Care Unit by a nurse at the amputee rehabilitation centre in Preston.

On arrival my wife and I were greeted with a smile from the ladies on reception, I told my story and was issued with a wrist band, that's a first first for me. She said someone collapsed and they couldn't identify them so the wristband system was introduced.

We sat down and was triaged within ten minutes by a lovey nurse.

After another ten minutes we saw another lovely nurse her gave me an ECG.

Then another three quarters of an hour we saw a fantastic lady doctor who went through everything with me and was very thorough.

We were then taken to another room were we met another doctor who was really friendly and lovely. We had a chat and he decided to have my bloods taken. This was done straight away by another really nice nurse. Just thirty minutes later my results were all clear.

Doctor said you've had an MOT and everything is OK.

From start to finish we were treated we kindness and respect. All the staff that helped me went above and beyond my expectations, compared to Preston A&E, Chorley is like night and day.

We thanked all the staff for their kindness, saying we don't want to get ill again, but if we do we will definitely take the thirty minute drive to Chorley.

Thank you so much for taking care of me, you all need a pat on the back for the way you treat people.

No offence, but I hope I don't have to see you again.
