About: New Victoria Hospital / Cardiology (Heart Conditions)

I wish to record the excellent care I received on a Wednesday late October 2025 in the Cardiology Unit at The New Victoria Hospital in Glasgow. On an outpatient visit to that unit I was suddenly taken ill. The care I received was immediate, well informed, empathic and took my medical safety as a priority. The attending cardiologist and the whole staff in the unit were involved as it took 6 and half hours for an ambulance to arrive to take me to another hospital. The whole staff went above and beyond what could be expected of them, even staying several hours late to await the ambulance's arrival. I cannot praise them enough for all that they did for me, including undertaking very personal care for me and simultaneously making sure that my husband was cared for as well.

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your kind words about your recent experience in our Dept. We are truly delighted to hear that you felt so well cared for during what must have been a distressing and unexpected situation.

Your comments about the attentiveness, professionalism, and compassion of our Cardiology Team are deeply appreciated. It's heartening to know that their dedication and teamwork provided you and your husband with comfort and reassurance while you awaited transfer.

I will share your feedback with the Cardiology staff and the wider hospital team- they will be very proud to know that their efforts made such a difference to your care.

It was also very kind of you to take the time to pop in last week with a token of your appreciation and update us on your recovery.
