Recently I had to attend the Urology Department of Glasgow Royal Infirmary for a minor surgical procedure.
The nursing and care staff were fantastic, very caring and professional, nothing was too much for them. I was made to feel comfortable and relaxed.
The procedure, done under local anaesthetic, was quick and completely painless. There was a little discomfort while the anaesthetic was administered to several local spots but that’s all it was.
After it was over I was returned to the day ward, offered tea/coffee and sandwiches/biscuits and, after approximately an hour of rest, was released.
My appreciation to all who turned what could have been a very traumatic experience into as pleasant an experience as such things can be.
