"A complete waste of everyone's time"

About: Addenbrooke's Hospital

(as the patient),

Had a telephone appointment with the Pain Clinic at Addenbrookes. The consultant spoke over me frequently, either did not listen or did not understand what was discussed - their clinic letter was riddled with errors in both medical history and basic misunderstandings of medicine. Communication with the department was almost impossible as letters were not responded to and the only responses received were achieved through terse secondhand communication with receptionists who explicitly told me that I shouldn't expect to hear back from anyone.

It was a complete waste of everyone's time and was especially galling given the nearly two year waiting time just to have a conversation with someone who was rude and didn't seem to know or care what they were doing.
