Late September I started to have more and more problems with my speech prothesis.
Mr Slim and Clinical Nurse Specialist Eimear tried again and again in clinic to help. Unfortunately it wasn’t to be. I then saw Advanced Clinical Nurse Specialist Cara and Consultant Mr Qamar alongside Dietitian Orla. They arranged for me to have a procedure done under general anaesthetic to ensure it was the best way for me to endure such a procedure.
Cara went above and beyond, as she always does, and organised my admission and treatment plan. She reassured me and made sure I was organised and comfortable coming into hospital. She is a fabulous nurse who deserves a medal for the effort she puts into her patients. I met Cara at the start of my cancer journey and have been lucky to always have her by my side.
The whole team is who look after me are amazing at what they do and consistently go above and beyond to meet my needs and expectations. I feel very lucky to be treated here.
