"It will make such a difference to my life"

About: Airdrie Locality / Integrated Rehab Team

(as the patient),

Rosie phoned and came out to see me about getting assessed for a wet room and bannister on the right hand side of my stairs due to now living alone and my health condition with impending surgeries ahead and daily incontinence and problems with bathing.

I could not have asked for a more understanding, empathetic, professional and helpful person to assess me. She made me feel at ease as I told my story and my daily struggles as well as listening about my recent change of circumstances resulting in me living alone. I got quite upset at times as it is embarrassing talking to someone about my Crohn's disease and the implications it has with the toilet. Rosie made me feel at ease and I felt like she understood and that made me feel not as embarrassed and that I could talk to her however difficult, even when the chat got to around the toilet/soiling myself.

She has since followed up with me on another phone call and ordered me a shower seat which I now have and I'm ever so grateful for that.

She has also sent me a letter with a number to contact if I have any questions or concerns etc if I may need it and I really appreciate that also. I am now waiting on Clyde Valley getting back to me with the installation date. I am forever grateful to Rosie and Social Work for all your help and understanding and it will make such a difference to my life and I appreciate it so much.

Thank you once again.
