About: Emergency Medicine / Minor Injuries Unit NHS 24 / NHS 24 (111 service)

(as the patient),

Phoned 111 in the morning after returning from holiday abroad with a head injury. They arranged an appointment with the minor injuries department for the afternoon. Was taken within 10 mins of allotted slot and dealt with very efficiently by Jill who carried out a thorough assessment and then cleaned/glued my injury.

Jill was clearly very experienced and I was reassured with the treatment I received.

Telephoning 111 and arranging an appointment, can make the experience of attending A&E a lot less stressful and I am glad that you were seen quickly and efficiently for your head injury. I really appreciate you taking the time to give us feedback on your experience and glad that you were happy with your care.

However, I am delighted to hear about your positive patient journey, from the initial call to the 111 service to the care you received during your appointment at minor injuries department in which you received a thorough assessment by an experienced member of staff.
