"The Care and Attention I Received"

Since September 2024 I have been under the care of the Endoscopy Unit at The Ulster Hospital Dundonald, initially for treatment for Achalasia with Dr. Eccles and his team and most recently from April 2025 to present with Mr McCallion and Mr McBrearty for the removal of a large polyp from my colon. The care and professional manner in which I was treated by Dr. Eccles was quite simply five star. I have recovered extremely well from the procedure and am entirely grateful to Dr. Eccles and his team.

Since April 2025 I have been under the care of Mr. McCallion , Mr. McBrearty and their teams for the removal of a large polyp. The treatment is presently ongoing. Again the care and professional treatment I have received is absolutely excellent. The skill, consideration and dedication of both of these Consultants is quite frankly astounding.

Mr McCallion's secretary, Sandra, is phenomenal, nothing is ever too much trouble for her. Her ability to get things sorted in an instant is remarkable.

An absolute treasure in the Endoscopy booking office is Shelly, what a tremendous asset this lady is to any team. Again nothing is ever too much trouble for her and she deals with problems in an instant.

Most recently I received a telephone appointment for the endoscopy pre-assessment clinic and this was conducted by Jenny. Again the professionalism shone through.

I am entirely grateful for the excellent care I have received and continue to receive from all the staff at the Endoscopy Unit, Ulster Hospital.
