"Pregnancy journey with the Emerald Team."

I’ve recently gone through my second pregnancy under the care of the wonderful Emerald Team, and I couldn’t be more grateful. The team supported me every step of the way — whether it was for appointments, advice, or simply reassurance, they were always so attentive, thorough, and genuinely caring. Nothing was ever too much trouble.

I really appreciated the benefit of being looked after by the same small team (mainly Gillian, for both of my pregnancies) throughout the entire journey. Seeing the same familiar faces and speaking with people who truly know you and your history brings such comfort and confidence.

My actual birthing experience couldn’t have been any better. The care and attention I received from midwife Sarah and Vicky put both me and my husband completely at ease. Their professionalism, knowledge, skill — and even their friendly chat and sense of humour when it was needed — helped take away almost all of my stress. Knowing you’re in such capable, compassionate hands at one of the most important times in your life is incredibly reassuring.

The aftercare from the whole team has also been amazing. From visiting me on the ward even when they didn’t have to, to checking in with texts between scheduled appointments, it’s clear that every single member of the Emerald Team genuinely cares about you and your baby.

I can’t recommend the Emerald Team highly enough — if you have the opportunity to be cared for by them, take it!
