Made 2 calls to the service to arrange transport for a hospital appointment. Had special request for 2 man ambulance with stair climber and required support of right leg as non weight bearing and large leg brace on.
1st call spoke with Alan, gave all the details and requests. He advised that transport is arranged and organised the day before the appointment. 2nd call was to confirm arrangements the day before appointment, he could recall all the requested information from previous call - he then advised he was Alan, and I had spoken with him earlier that week.
It was nice to know that he listened and took note of what was important and this gave reassurance.
2 man ambulance with stair climber arrived on the day of appointment to Monklands hospital - was a difficult transfer out into the ambulance but they were so patient and calm despite pain and anxiety about going out to the appointment.
Same crew to assist on return journey. Same professional and caring crew.
