My autistic daughter recently had an ENT procedure carried out by Mr Murray under general anaesthetic. The surgeon and anaesthetist took time to fully explain everything, which really did help reduce my her overwhelming anxiety.
The theatre staff and recovery nurses were patient, kind, friendly and very supportive. Many thanks to the senior charge nurse at the same day assessment unit, RAH who compassionately granted my request to give my daughter a single room. This assisted my daughter to stay calm in a quiet space, offered privacy and this assisted her to not becoming overstimulated. This really made a key difference to her hospital experience.
In particular my daughter would like to thank, Charge Nurse Binesh, she was calm, spoke with a soft voice, smiled and demonstrated excellent patient care. This helped me know my daughter was in good hands.
Thanks
