"Simple instruction could potentially be life-saving"

About: South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / NHS 111

(as a service user),

This has happened to me more than once.  These services are invaluable and I appreciate them enormously. I have had to contact them on a few occasions and they have been very helpful.

My problem arises from the fact that I set my phone on 'do not interrupt' at night to avoid being awoken unnecessarily. So when I have received a call back at night, I have often missed it because, having ADHD, I forget that my phone is set on silent mode and that I need to adjust the settings.

The way these services could help me (and others like me) to avoid missing these important calls would be for the operator to simply include a prompt like, "Remember to reset your phone 's settings if it is in silent mode ", especially in the evening, at night or in the early hours.  I feel this simple instruction could potentially be life-saving on some occasions.

When I realise that this has happened to me again and I have missed the call back because I have once more forgotten to adjust the settings (which I do invariably) it is quite distressing.

Thank you for your consideration of my feedback.
